And I was not taking sides, I didn't see your need to immediately brand visiting posters from other countries/club in the way you were doing.

Some of their fans who posted appeared friendly and helpful in offering advice for the Blues who will go to the second leg, some were indeed idiots and I/we didn't allow their abusive, foul-mouthed, swearing and aggressive posts to appear. I personally deleted quite a few and I'm sure the other mods did likewise.

I'm certainly not condoning in any way shape or form the actions of their fans last night, no way, it was despicable and I hope if any were arrested or detained, they're dealt with harshly.

True that mate, I said yesterday to a young workmate who is going over there(, I had to volunteer to do a few extra shifts so he could go), that he would have to watch himself over there, he goes everywhere with the blues and you could tell he was thinking , oh yes , not the 80's edge behave yourself, hope he has the sense to just go mingle in with the holiday crowds and just go the game without any bother,. In fairness to the woman I was talking to she said if you didn't go off the beaten track or go looking for it, you should be ok , and the copper s will be all over the place.

Like in Greece though mate sometimes the coppers just don't want to know . The Athens fans steamed into a load of blues including a bloke pushing a wheelchair and the cops just leant on their riot shields having a ciggie . Then you have to have lads stepping in and the whole thing escalates

Why not, all English teams were banned for 10yrs for the action's of a few pillocks.

To be fair English teams weren't banned for just one incident really, it was a culmination of two decades of English teams rampaging through Europe, including on occasion ourselves. We taught them everything they know.

Seeing people say nothing will go on? Gotta be joking haven't you... any Everton lad will stick out like a sore thumb over there and will be fair game to them. I've done 3 derbies in that part of Europe and they will be out looking for it. They chased Brondby lads a few weeks back and even attacked their apartment and hotels they were staying in ... be very wary any lads who are renting minibuses and driving from Zadar Zagreb or Dubrovnik as it's rife for away fans to be attacked on a motorway heading to split.
