I can rational defend my comment to the hills.

The issues isnt just what Johnson said regarding the burkha, its the idiots from this country that are diving on his back over it taking some sort of moral high ground, like they do when anyone comments on anything regarding the islamic faith (its untouchable now in this country) the country is crumbling in front of our eyes.

Number of years since 1945 we have had a Muslim government = 0
Number of years since 1945 we have had a Tory government = 43

It’s not that long ago that most Catholic women wouldn’t go out without a head scarf. They were probably mostly white though.
A head scarf and a Burka are not the same thing, it's not even remotely in the same ball park!! The Burka is so protective that one can only assume the sex, skin colour and identity of those who 'choose' to wear it. And BJ's analogy of a post box is wrong, a post box doesn't have a protective mesh.

Ah Muslims, I get it, immigrants and all that, how dare anyone suggest that a tiny minority of a minority being ridiculed by a senior Tory and until recently our Foreign Secretary, was crass and a obvious dog whistle that attracts people like....well you know.
Not imigrants and all that no, not at all.

Again idiots like you pushing the race card agenda, ive got nothing against anyone of any ethnicity or background.

The fact is though this country is on its knees in fear of upsetting a group of people who are evidently taking over in front of your eyes.

Again i have nothing against any of them, power to them if thats what they believe there is nothing wrong with it.

The issues is with the idiot brits bowing to this in their own country and being afraid to comment on it. Pathetic.

I see polls are suggesting that 60% agree that Boris has not been racist, with the snowflake generation saying he should apologise and the grown ups saying he should not.......

If I chose to walk about with a balaclava on all day, who would stop me? Of course, I'm not black or Asian.

If these women want to wear the thing it's up to them. I don't envy them but there you go.

I wish Johnson would wear one. We've all had enough of his stupid face and hair.
I guarentee if you was walking round a city center going into shops or built up areas you would be stopped

"I am not a racist, but here are a load of racist tropes. Freedom of speech!"

Which is what Boris said. He defended their right to wear them and accused EU counties who have banned the Burka of being wrong......

Janet Street Porter....

“Ten years ago, you could (just about) say that the rise of the burka on the streets of our cities made you feel a bit uncomfortable, as if one group of people wanted to feel separate from the rest of society.
God forbid you voice that point of view now - you're called an islamophobe, a racist and God knows what else within seconds on social media. We have entered a puritanical age with black and white and nothing in between. No debate, just shrieking statements.

The latest spat about the burka has brought out the worse in all concerned, and laid bare our lily-livered snowflake society, full of knee jerk reactions and bids for Twitter stardom.

Boris Johnson is a publicity-seeking buffoon, who would make just about the worst Prime Minister on record. He thrives on the oxygen of publicity, which explains his latest rantings about women in burkas looking like 'letterboxes', made at a time when he's not in any position of real power.

Actually, he was making a valid point - that Denmark's decision to ban wearing the burka in the street - following France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the German republic of Bavaria- was ill-advised. He said 'women should be free to wear what they want'. Correct answer.

The knock-about jokes I can live without, but l respect his right to free speech.

Boris is brilliant at one thing - flushing out the tosspots who feel compelled to pontificate on any issue of the day. “

That would be the same Janet Street Porter who thinks not allowing her to buy a holiday home in North Wales is "completely racist", Pete.

So this is where we are , On an Everton forum people defending Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson as he isolates and takes pathetic digs at another minority group .Wasn’t so long ago The scumbag had a real pop at our city to curry favour with his supporters. However the demographic of where his digs should be aimed has changed and now it’s the Muslim community he’s targeted to collect support from the right and help his leadership campaign .

Not just politicians but Large numbers of the Tory party condemn him , much of the media criticise him along with in my opinion decent fair minded people . I’m sure Steve Bannon , the daily mail and your edl , Britain firsts and the rest think any criticism of him is outrageous. I will honestly judge people by the company that they keep , seriously have a word with yourselves.

Criticism of the burka/niqab isn’t unreasonable and neither is debate but I was brought up to believe bullying was scummy behaviour and in the real world when I see it I’ll pull people up . Johnson is a bully whilst the article is cheap and offensive , opinions and debate are fine but the phrase that sums it up is dog whistle and it’s shameful.
