Looking forward to Victorian ghoul coming out and saying Johnson is safe and somebody reminding him of this.

He always reminds me of an undertaker, a Victorian Ghoul sums him up perfectly, its Johnsons ⚰️ he's carrying this time though..
The best description of him I've heard is still "a caricature of a Tory as drawn by a pissed-up 19th Century Marxist".

Ah flip.I had just cleaned my laptop screen, then I opened that attachment - now I need a sponge to remove the slime.

The UK media likes nothing more than kicking someone on the way down.

He's finished. He looks weak and unpopular and he'll limp on because his ego is more important to him than the success of the party or the country.

The Tories voted this narcissist in fully aware of his tendencies. They are just as culpable for enabling Boris Johnson the racist, sexist, poor hating Tory that he has always been. For Tory MPs to act as if they are surprised by this behaviour is laughable and insulting.

Nothing has changed with Boris, he just now has the power to do what he wants with seemingly little repercussions. He’s displayed these selfish and idiotic traits throughout his career. He’s an awful man.

Changing the Tory leader won’t do anything except restore confidence in the Conservative party. As horrible as it is, the longer he stays in his seat the more likely it is they will lose the next general election. The last 12 years have been grim, and that will not change with a different leader. Far from it.

I hope he stays until the bitter end and drags the Conservative party’s name further through the mud. October is going to be horrific but perhaps the only consolation will be that it’ll strengthen Labour’s position further.

We are almost certainly headed for another recession this year.

Not really, he has a higher % of MP votes who support him than he got when he won the original Leadership vote. He won, the media will try and make something of it, Hunt will go away to lick his wounds, various Conservative branches will be ’having a word’ with the trouble makers, Boris will pull a rabbit out of the hat and all will be well……
All will be well? He was [Poor language removed] partying while people were dying in their droves of covid, were unable to say goodbye to their loved ones as they died of Covid, and then lied about it repeatedly in parliament. That’s literally worse that the old adage “Nero fiddled while Rome burned”

after over a decade of austerity = biggest borrowing in peacetime( funny enough I never got a bonus of the banks when they were doing well, but asked to take the pain when they lost out)
crime up,
poverty up,
foodbanks up,
cant see a doctor, hospital waiting list up.
inflation up
cost of living up.
energy prices doubling up
mental health problems up.
student debt up
taxes up
and strangely after all this number of rich getting richer has gone up?
job security down.
life expectance down.
travel industry in chaos, rail , air, and ferry.
civil service and anything to do with them, driving license, passports etc. a mess
local government costing more for delivering less, due to funding from central government.
They got Brexit done, well I voted out and I think they have balled that up , so those that voted to stay must be think the same, so we have him to thank for at least agreeing on that
remind me why Boris and his pack or Rats have got all the big decisions right ?

Comparing gherkins and cucumbers Pete. The way the 2019 leadership election went, there were three choices when the MP voting ended, - 51.1% Johnson, 24.6% Hunt, 24% Gove. When the vote went to the party 66.4% of members then voted for Johnson over Hunt.

Of MPs voting for him this time, 120 (or more) had jobs in the government. 75% of those not depending on him voted against him. 148 - 4 out of 10 tory MP's - have no confidence in him. He has a majority of 80. Only You Pete would see this as a firm foundation for government.

Some rabbit, some hat....

And yet Peteblue still thinks Labour would do worse.. hard to take in, said it earlier, the poorest administration I've ever known, corrupt, inept absolutely bereft of any idea's or solutions, no future for this Country with this shower in charge.
