Not really, but until the report comes out and Boris gets grilled over it, nobody really knows do they. Obviously Rayner and Sadiq have jumped straight in, but I would have suggested to both that they pause, think and wait…..
No, well, a party isn’t a party until Boris says it’s a party seems to be the thin (now almost threadbare) blue line.
Corbyn though.

I‘m awful sorry that I didn’t go on this course you did. It must have been fascinating. I just wasted my life flying around the world reviewing major programmes and businesses in order to get to the bottom of what actually was going on, nothing like as clever as you sorting out Lord Lucan. Something I also did for the Cabinet Office and the NAO while heading an international organisation funded by other multinationals. I always wondered why both brought senior people in from Industry to determine what was going on in Civil Service programmes, now I understand….

oh, and I know I didn’t do the course but I think the word you were trying to use was Cognisance not Cognisence …
Sarcasm (in your case) is the refuge of the defeated. No two ways about it!

I was also seconded to Headquarters running projects with budgets into the millions. But I took it all in my stride.

As for bringing people in from outside industry (and consultants) - given that they know jack about the workings of Government Departments, both at the top and at grass roots level, it always turned to merde. Their ideas were always not fit for purpose. One example was when the top bods of Marks & Spencers were brought in to try to improve things, given tier performance in the then high street market. Didn't apply to our Department, so the Government spent millions on abslutely nothing. Same when they brought in EDS to run the computer side of things. Didn't grasp the mechanics of what was required and it was an absolute disaster. Alastair Darling (then SoS for the DSS) NEARLY managed to completely screw up (in consultation with consultant firms) the implementation of JSA. It was only with the intervention of those who knew what they were talking about that the whole national computer system did not crash. Same with consultants involved in the 'Payment Card System' - they didn't have a clue about how the complete system worked and were bringing in things that would have been a catastrophy. The words of the Dire Straits song come to mind: 'Money for nothing and your cheques for free'. Absolutely! Every time!

And as for your snide remarks about my training and knowledge, gotcha already with what you posted. Butthurt are you? - definitely. Crawl back up Boris's sphincter.

Day after day after day of absolute bollocks, corruption and lies from this disgraceful government, that’s the real issue here.

But @peteblue likes to turn a blind eye to it or tries to derail it by going on and on and on about Blair, Corbyn or Starmer like a tired old Boris ball licking apologist.

There’s a certain “type” of person who is still willing to back this government and not criticise them. I don’t get it! If this was a party I’d voted for, I’d still be calling then out.

WMD, Iraq….go…..

You definitely need to get out more…

WMD, Iraq….go…..
You keep using this false dichotomy and it is just idiotic.

Statement A: Blair was wrong about the WMDs and the Iraq war was a massive mistake.
Statement B: Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson is not fit for office.

We don't have to choose which side we are on based on these two statements. You can be a tory and agree with both statements, or vote labour and agree with both statements.

You just bring up statement A to completely deflect from the reality of statement B

You definitely need to get out more…
Oh I've been out and about quite a bit over the decades.

Zum beispiel, ich war mehrmals in der Deutsche Dienststelle (Wehrmachtaufkunststelle) in Berlin. Aber, das macht nichts...

Have a nice day, Boris fanboy...

I think the Met may have a clue, certainly a better one than you just jumping in with both feet before we even find out who took the photograph and why…..

Pete weren't you saying only last week, that the Met might have been "compromised " by Starmer being a former chief justice, or something along them lines. Now your saying the Met are like the Untouchables, when it comes to Boris, haha.

The photo was probably deliberately released, knowing full well that it was a works event and Boris is bombproof, to let everyone hyperventilate and be slapped down before some proper dodgy photo’s come out. However, the Met must have all of these anyway…..

He's only bombproof to you Pete. :)and another thing do you even think that the official photographer would take pictures of Boris drinking alcohol when he's just previously announced a severe lock down were two people weren't allowed to meet indoors, let alone host a party, with half empty wine and Gin bottles, really Pete? What a vote winner that was then when thousands were dying and you could not visit your loved one in Hospital or attend their funerals. Wow.
