This Tory government has had to deal with Brexit, COVID and now Ukraine within its first two years, no other government apart from WW1 and WW2 has even got near this level of complexity. Starmer, until told by Nandy to pack it in, has pushed the same cheesegate line for months. It’s a non event in the bigger scheme of things, and I really hope that the police now actually investigate Starmer for doing the exact same thing and throw the book at him. I will still be of the view that it’s a non issue but at least that hypocritical nonentity Starmer may begin to understand……

They’ve had to ‘deal’ with Brexit because caused it to avoid paying some tax.

They/he just dont get it. Plenty, including me, warned them in the Brexit days. I can understand why folk warm to Johnston, if they are of a similar political persuasion. What they dont get is the pullers of the levers behind the charade of daily politics. And why those levers are being pulled.

But when my dear old Mum, in her dotage, has sussed him, or rather, grown tired of his act, I struggle to see why folk still defend him.

Yet to see anybody but old gammons with Hitler flags still defend him at this point.

The second he becomes useless to the folk who installed him, he will be toast. Chances are, he doesnt even get the game outside the HOC.

Thing is, appealing to base nationalistic emotions is an easy kill, electorally. Easy to manipulate, dont need to be verified or even explained, (see Brexit), and folk totally miss the REASON why that stance is being pushed, nor by whom. Cant blame them, as footie fans we suffer from a similar condition.
