Well Pete did say Johnson was like Churchill, maybe he had something there..

World beating.

Part of an article from the Telegraph…..discussing Starmer, but as he’s too boring I’ve pulled out the good bit….
”Both Nandy and Rayner have that priceless political characteristic: authenticity. They sound like they mean what they say, because they say it in normal voices, the kind of voices ordinary voters can relate to. Starmer, perhaps because of a career spent in the austere and formal environment of the courtroom, has yet to display that crucial ability of sounding as if he’s not reading from a script.
Labour MPs and activists have spent so much time hating Boris Johnston (for Brexit, not Partygate) and talking among themselves about how awful he is that they have lost sight of the reason he remains a potent political force: like Nandy and Rayner – perhaps even more so – Johnson is authentic (or appears to be, which is the next best thing). He doesn’t look or sound like the boring, predictable politicians we have got used to seeing on our TV screens since spin doctors on both sides started programming, grooming and training their clients.
Having spent so long indulging their six-year hate of Johnson, Labour have had little time to consider the reasons behind his electability, which is why they have made so little progress against him. Partygate, as Nandy has spotted, now presents limited returns for Labour. It risks being seen as a party talking only to itself and the converted, not to those who might well still support the Conservatives, even under Johnson.”…….
Eeesh, I would say that Corbyn had authenticity, don’t read The Telegraph but would guess they weren’t particularly complimentary of him.Part of an article from the Telegraph…..discussing Starmer, but as he’s too boring I’ve pulled out the good bit….

A bloke born in New York, raised in Brussels, and schooled at Eton has about as much in common with the ordinary voter as Al Murray does with Al Murray. It's an act Pete and I'm amazed you aren't aware of that. Even his support for Brexit is an act because it was the quickest path to power.Part of an article from the Telegraph…..discussing Starmer, but as he’s too boring I’ve pulled out the good bit….
