I think Patel has some weird thing where she doesn’t want anyone else given the opportunities she was. It’s like a Brit expat, living on a Thai island and having an active dislike of any visiting backpackers or newcomers.
Can’t believe she was reinstated as a front bench MP to be honest.

No idea, although the article does refer to Barrow in Furness, a deprived area now part of the ‘blue wall’ getting £600 per head. It may be purely political, I don’t know… I do know that Knowsley will never vote conservative so maybe it’s a cynical ploy, or maybe Knowsley made an arse of its application, or maybe their money comes in a later tranche, who knows….
