Welcome back Wayne
I now live in North Shropshire mate and voted Lib Dems even though I'm a Labour supporter.
Who will you vote for at the next General Election though ?……

3rd form banter rulez rite?

Not by the winners.I’m sure that’s the way it will be spun…..
Same here always do vote libs in the general elections rather than labour, as it has no chance. The rest I vote labour.I normally vote Labour (have voted other left leaning parties in the past), but I'd have probably voted tactically if I lived in Oswestry.
Interesting. We had a Libdem MP here where I live in fairly recent memory before he retired and they got crushed in 2015, leading to a huge Tory majority. I wonder if we could see a comeback here? Perhaps if they select the right candidate.Same here always do vote libs in the general elections rather than labour, as it has no chance. The rest I vote labour.
Make no mistake this is just not about parties Patterson or Boris, lots going on with farming communities and this government that will never get reconciled.
A surprisingly large amount supported Brexit as well. Generally found farmers to be fairly apolitical however and often never bother voting. @peteblue knows a few from his boozer I think. What have they been saying Pete?Labour, voted Lib Dems to help get the Tories out because they are a waste of space here. Massive farming community here and you only have to listen to farmers who would have staunchly voted Tory in the past but feel let down by them and that is the consensus amongst a lot of people on the street.

Reckon there is every chance. I inherited Lembit Opik for a while, been 2 Tory since old money local farmer types.Interesting. I would be surprised if that outcome actually comes to pass, at least in sufficient quantity. I 100% believe the narrative, but it didn't seem to translate into meaningful electoral outcomes in the 2020 presidential election in the US.Labour, voted Lib Dems to help get the Tories out because they are a waste of space here. Aye it just sounds a similar constituency to mine. We had David Heath from 1997 to 2015, he was a good MP, local fella and had the farming community onside. The candidate they sent as his replacement wasn't local, upset the farmers immediately by being a vocal critic of the badger cull, and really just got his tone all wrong. Result: crushing Tory majority.Reckon there is every chance. I inherited Lembit Opik for a while, been 2 Tory since old money local farmer types.
My neighbouring MP Craig Williams is often flapping regarding Brexit and farming in the local media.

The LDs recently took control of the district council, too. Which prompted Robert Jenrick to do away with it from next year, but that's another story.
Hunting is on borrowed time since the Hankinson revelations. I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see an outright ban under the next Labour government. Was thinking what Boris could do, bring back hunting excetra in the "shires". Not likely with the current wife. Pig in a poke.
Last time I was in Oswestry there were some decent pubs and a nice little market - that's my contribution.I normally vote Labour (have voted other left leaning parties in the past), but I'd have probably voted tactically if I lived in Oswestry.
