Wales NHS Labour, Scotland NHS SNP, both in the crap, what was your point again.......

Guess its how you read things then, cos I ignored the Tories bit, and just thought that if enough people think a lottery specific to a Royal Yacht, or a Royal anything come to that, is seen as a half decent idea, some MPs are supporting them. But cos they are Tories, ergo, they are bad for doing it.

Better than us all paying for one, imo.

Indeed. A Royal Yacht would be the best trade generation tool this country would have, but the left aren’t interested in trade and jobs........

Speaking to BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Mr Hopson said last year was "the first time ever" in NHS history that all of its key targets for A&E, cancer and planned operations across the UK had been missed.

It's overly simplistic to just say that though isn't it? As has been pointed out, the NHS has different management in each country of the UK so there is very likely to be differences in how much is spent on healthcare (and the divide between primary and secondary care). There might be differences in demand for services across the UK. This is what I mean when I've said that the NHS is a political football, because people will use things like that to make whatever point they want to make, kick whatever party they disagree with. There's very little actual desire to understand things, let alone improve them.

I would have thought that 'key targets' were an important indicator Bruce. Pointing out that they have not been met doesn't strike me as particularly political, just a statement of fact.
