What? Oh, get it. I am a serf in thrall to Johnson and rich people, easily manipulated to their agenda?

Gotcha.
No, you plainly got that Johnson interview arse about face then you start swerving off it and over to another issue about a copper shooting dead a terrorist.

Johnson was caught (very very) off guard, reacted like a fool, regained (some) composure, made a few comments that we have all heard before, then apologised for the phone and gave it back.

I am not defending him, more its my reaction to folk who pounce on anything with zero understanding of any back ground of a photo/clip/gaffe. Its like when you went all bent out of shape on the London Bridge shooting. Thought you might take time before coming up with "lying in filth" and "conviscating evidence".
I mean I get that there are 2 sides to every story.

But Christ.

You have completely missed the point I was making. As per.
Hold on, I gave you a faithful and accurate description of what happened (and verified by others in the thread) and you charge me with having 'zero understanding of any back ground of a photo/clip/gaffe.'

I was making the point that reacting immediately to any online pic/clip/whatever until the full context is known these days, can be a daft thing to do. I referenced Daves INSTANT reaction to the London Bridge shooting as an example of an hysterical one, which was shown to be foolish later.

He ranted that Johnson "conviscated the phone to conceal evidence". I just pointed out that he didnt, he apologised after a piss poor soundbite and gave it back.

He totally ignored the plight of a very sick child lying on the floor.

But you just peddle the bumbling boris tory line.

Hes a horrible evil self serving tit.

You didnt even get accurate mate. Like you didnt with your London Bridge rant.

The point I am making is, that until folk are told the full context of ANYTHING on line these days, an instant reaction can be foolhardy.

What? I was pointing out that A. Daves initial reaction was inaccurate, because B Instant reactions to ANYTHING online can be dangerous, as evidenced by C his INSTANT reaction to the London Bridge shooting.

Not peddling anyones line mate. Leave that to others.

Daves wrong about most things, but hes got these torys and the kopites nailed.

Johnson's real issue is that he doesn't respond well to scrutiny and accountability.

It's evident everywhere he goes.

Before he put himself into politics and up for the leader of the nation, he's said and done many things that would not qualify him for high office.
Back then though, he could glide by with his bluster and charm to the cries of "Oh, Boris!" without being held accountable and he was conditioned to think that he could get away with anything.

As he rose through the ranks, he still said and did many things that would disqualify him.
However, rather than be held accountable, his party colleagues and the hacks in the media roll their eyes and cry "Oh, Boris!" and let him off yet again.
Not only that, they encourage his behaviour and make excuses for him and by the time he puts himself up for the latest leadership campaign, his behaviour is not only encouraged, his lying, cheating and obfuscations are expected and even supported.

He calls an election and he takes himself into the real world and there's something wrong.

People aren't rolling their eyes, uttering "Oh, Boris!".
They are actually questioning him.
Holding him to account.
Not letting him get away with his bluff and bluster.
Even his friends in the cocktail party circuit are calling him out.

And he looks confused.
Freezing like a deer in the headlights.
He replies in soundbites as he's never had to explain himself before.
The public when he faces them aren't the same as the usual people around him.
When they smell bullsh*t, they call it.

Let's hope it's not too late for the public to cotton on to him and the rest of his gang of charlatans.
