After extensive research (Wikipedia), I have decided Tom Tugendhat is the only decent person in the race to be Tory leader. The others are all horrible shady types with histories of bullying and financial misbehaviour, especially Jenrick.
TT is very pro-Israel but on the other hand anti-Brexit.
He's got no chance of winning, unfortunately.

So Cleverly moves to pole position after a good conference. Tugendhat out, which means 20 more 'centrist' MPs available with the Jenrick/Badenoch head to head narrowing. Seems like Cleverly now has the numbers to influence that, he could guarantee being in the final two and still lend 10 votes to Jenrick say, if he knows that the members are chomping at the bit to get Kemi in.

Surprised if they do, however, If Cleverley does win he'll have five years of the likes of Badenoch and Braverman on the sidelines to deal with. Almost feel sorry for him.

What a pathetic line up of party leaders

It’s like the X factor final that nobody wanted.

Your analysis is shared by an assistant editor on The Mallard (a far-right online rag with a veneer of respectability) writing today:

It's lovely to see the right so fractured, so unable to decide on or even be happy with a direction. The leadership right now is a poisoned chalice and any sensible candidate that wins (which isn't guaranteed) is going to be hauled over the coals by the frothing rabid nutters.

Indeed, I'm sure there's some football forum out there for a club more aligned with the right with their own version of Dave barging about the place calling them Blue Labour and getting ready to give the 'Cleverly Gang' both barrels every day.

This is razor sharp kyboshing. Impressive.

As said about Cleverly.

Looks like he'll be the choice in the end.

The Tories might feel the pull further right, but they know full well that they'd be in permanent opposition doing so.

Cleverly is the only Tory candidate who can challenge Red Tory. Even then though you'd have to wonder if his colour would be off putting amongst an essentially racist electorate. But he's the best of a bad lot for Blue Tory atm, I suppose.
