I can understand them not getting labour votes, but i would have thought moderate tories would flock to them..
can only assume they are too worried about a corbyn government...
I had dinner with a Lib Dem councillor on Monday night. She holds you in high regard too.
If you're in the centre ground at the moment, neither of the two big parties speak on your behalf. We've seen how more moderate Tories are being buffeted at the moment, and the same has happened in Labour as Momentum has now largely taken control of the party.

Rudd has been officially designated as Johnson's new Nanny. She'll be there to tell him what to wear, what to eat, what to say and when to stand and sit down. The Tories hope this will improve the image of the accident prone Foreign Secretary as he attempts to be seen as a serious representative of the country. Johnson did pass his first test yesterday, when he responded immediately, and without question, to Rudd 's command for him to stand during May's speech.

Aye, if they ever did go for Johnson, they'd be finished for a long time. He's somehow more unelectable than Corbyn.
He can be torn to shreds from dozens of angles, and not only that, the media haven't realised that his 'popularity' is limited to a miniscule amount of people that consist of the Westminster bubble and the 'reality show' generation of idiots who turn at the drop of a hat. He has absolutely no support whatsoever up north. He's the last thing the Tories need.
I agree completely with the shouts of Ruth Davidson. What the Tories need is someone principled and pragmatic who can talk to the public and come across as genuine instead of robotic, because that's what Jeremy Corbyn does. In terms of policy, the Tories should continue to win every election they go in to against a Corbyn Labour in the UK, which is right-leaning politically - but with May they've unnecessarily killed themselves through their own arrogance.

It's not really baffling at all. It's the Corbyn factor. People either love him and vote labour or hate him and vote tory to stop him.
