Yea I had a look on the bbc website to see what was going on. It’s just total nonsense and then weird fanboys will be like ‘kier tore him a new one there’ or ‘Sunak just DESTROYED starmer’ and then you watch it and it’s just all gibberish.
Would like to see the whole format changed so that ministers are more accountable here but given that would be detrimental to all involved, it’s not likely to happen.

FWIW making the Brexit Party go away in 2019 was a big chunk of the reason why they won that general election, and the polling does show that the Tory/Reform combined total is a lot closer to Labour than the Tory vote is.
It would still utterly destroy the Tory Party as it currently exists mind.
Do they care though? A big part of the reason the Tories win as often as they do is that they lack "ideological purity". They'll gladly swing whichever way will get them power, as it's power they ultimately crave.

It is, but I think they understand that they wouldn't end up in power if they invited the UKIP / Brexit Party / Reform types in - they'd end up being purged or having to abase themselves to whatever idiocy was whipped up.
