Going by the number of PM’s, foreign secretaries, Home Secretaries, chancellors this government have through I’d say he’s more of a ‘Has been’ counter

This is very big nonsense on a least one count. The most important one a). Highly doubtful on b) as well, with this generation of ratsnake imbecillic barstewards to choose from.

It's in line with this narrative that the president/prime minister should be akin to a CEO of a company, who is also bestowed with mythical superpowers. It's utter nonsense, obviously, but it's why we've seen in these pages calls for "charismatic" leaders, as though that's what the country needs.

They don't realise that they are the problem. He should be saying that they need to get rid of just about everyone and start again.

If they realised the leader isn’t the problem, it’s their policies/lack of policies, lying, corruption, deceit and blatant hatred for the working class that’s haemorrhaging votes , then maybe they would have a platform to rethink how they treat the electorate and try and work for the good of the country and not themselves.

Boris Johnson gutted that party of the modicum of talent it had in its ranks. It was pretty bereft of it to start with, but his treatment of people like Ken Clarke and Oliver Letwin was nothing short of disgusting.
