I'm too old to be a boomer, I'm a WW2 surviver.
I can assure you that many oldies are not DM reading bigots.
The implementation of Thatcher government policies brought my first career to a halt, I know what sign on means.
I hate the Tories and and I think they did a disastrous job over covid.
So just take care when you write "old this" and "old that".

It was a disgrace. People, politicians, scientists and clinicians all made mistakes during Covid, because many of them didn’t have a clue what to do but ‘tried their best’. It’s no comfort for those that suffered, nor their families, but unless we are going to put in prison most of the government and the civil service together with SAGE etc etc, then all they can do is ensure that it is never repeated…..

There's an old Kopite tit in my local (from Devon, brought up in Bolton, moved to Australia aged 12 so obviously 'supports' Liverpool). Nobody in the pub can stand him, and his only form of social interaction is to goad and prod at people until he gets a response/argument. Once he's had his pants pulled down he tries to play it all off as 'banter'. It's exactly what Pete does on here every single day. Just another lonely Boomer, put him on ignore or just stop replying to his nonsense.

I haven’t kept up to date with this, and tbh have no wish to do so, as it seems more interested in tittle tattle and everyone slagging off one another while covering their own backs. I’ll wait for the final report, but unfortunately I’m not sure we will really learn anything….
