i would like to see a cross party agreement proposed to reinstate some form of political accountability via an independent body. Labour should be pushing on something along these lines.
Feels like ministers can get away with so much and then just lie a bit in front of a panel and it all goes away.

If Labour made something like this a key policy it would highlight Tory corruption and set a clear difference between the parties as well as going some way to restoring voter trust.

Politics and politicians have been degenerating for quite a while now. So has any political discourse, with people continually attacking any kind of opposing view or even a reminder of previous failings ( see @Tommy and his ubiquitous middle finger above). I don’t know if we will ever get back to civilised discussion or conversation and it reflects badly upon our current generations tbh…Anyway, Merry Christmas and I hope you and your family have a great time…all the best……

Cleverly isn't fit for government, and is the sort of political lightweight that in usual times would never leave the backbenches... but when Johnson became leader and had to fill all the key posts with Leavers there was such a dearth of talent available that people like Cleverly got the chairperson gig, and the churn of Tory politics since has seen him move about in ever more important roles.

Foreign secretaries don't really get that much daily scrutiny by the media, no surprise that since his shift to the Home office he's been pulled up twice over inappropriate remarks in as many months.

He’ll be going nowhere unfortunately.

Maybe the middle finger was resultant of me flaying my own finger for the second time tonight with a peeling knife (I'm prepping for dinner tomorrow).

Maybe it was a reaction to your inate inability to cast any aspersions onto your beloved Tory party? Even after driving this country into primordial soup your 'go to' is "buh buh buh, wabor did dis!".

Whatever it was, I wish no ill on anyone, that's what seperates me from your kin. The middle finger made was a reaction to your continuous trolling and also didn't help drive millions of people into abject poverty like your votes and rhetoric do.
