Honestly, it doesn't really matter anymore. I'm old enough to know that politicians say they will do something, but what they can actually achieve is a completely different thing. It's all just hot air... and I'm bored of it.

You are right about grandstanding... the things they say they will do will never be implemented. These are the 'lies' I dislike, saying they will do things that won't actually happen. It's not necessarily their fault, however. With their greatest intentions, policies get blocked, and they are powerless to implement the policies for which they were voted in...

And for these reasons, the UK will continue on its sad decline...
