That speech Braverman made today was foul. A fascist screed. The attacks on liberalism and the rule of law were chilling.
If Sunak hasn't sacked her by next week, he is OK with fascism.
The most telling thing about it was how American it was - attacks on "the elite", on "liberalism", the pretending that normal people support them (and so any opposition is from the "others" in society, the abnormal). There was almost nothing in there from traditional British political discourse.
My absolute most hated bit though was suggesting that there may be a hurricane of migration coming, which given climate change (and related stuff) may well be true. However there was no reference of why people might flee, no acceptance that they might have to flee, no proposal to help manage these people if they do flee and only criticism of genuinely common sense measures to deal with it.
It was dangerous nonsense, and should be opposed by everyone.
