Indeed. Centre ground folk over the past few decades have tended to be socially liberal with broad support for the market. Blair and Cameron were broadly in that camp. Modern conservatives are anything but socially liberal and I'm not sure even support free market a great deal. They're valueless chancers who will suckle onto anything that will win them votes.

It would imply that there are people well to the right of them out there, and that they know them. Which is a scary thought.
 
Well, according to the stats on this website, average global inflation in 2023 is 14%. UK inflation is 9%. The UK inflation rate is ranked in 69th place globally.

Inflation is a global issue. Blame Boris and the Tories if you want, and if it makes you feel better. It won't make it true, though.

But inflation has shot up under the Tories. It is at least partially their fault.

Like Zimbabwe has has high inflation for decades, but the UK have only recently got high inflation.
