Personally I believe the Tory party are doing this on purpose. They know they’ve ruined the country, they’ve crashed the economy and everybody is down on their knees….. they know there’s no way out now as it’s gone too far so are purposely making themselves unelectable (except to the few bootlickers who still believe in unicorns and sunlit uplands). They instead want labour in power knowing full well that labour will find it extremely difficult to turn things around, then in 5 years everyone will blame labour and the tories won another election… some people are just too stupid for their own gogood.
Not so sure.
I think they have gone too far and now realise their only hope is the racist element of the country. So they have to play up to that.
I reckon they banked on the brexit supporters to stick with them, but it hasn't happened, so time to stir the pot.
I don't think they really thought brexit and the economy would ever be this bad.
I genuinely feel they are scared of PR and votes for the kids.
We could potentially not see tory majority for a very long time if that happens.
Their absoulute last chance is try the brexit trick again, only this time double down on the racist element.
Only problem is, they have shafted the majority of those people who may have sided with them, with taking all the money out of their pockets.

I think we gonna see a period where Labour get in for at least 2 elections, they bring in voter reform, and then the lib dems will be the power brokers. 6 months ago, you would have said the SNP would be in that role, but can well imagine they are done foe as well. Lib dems won't ever be the majority, but if they are smart they will dictate major policy in return for their support in forming governments. With PR, they could feasibly be a part of government for a very long time, and this will scare the tories silly.
I honestly feel when they lose the next election, we won't see them anywhere near government for a very long time.

The market decides, said Margaret Thatcher.

Inflation is happening all around the world say the Tories. What’s happening here, is happening everywhere, they say.

The only valid market judgement therefore is the value of the £ compared to other currencies.

That drives inflation. £ buys less from abroad = stuff costs more here.

In days gone by, a weak £ = more profit for uk companies, as many did their business internationally in US $ so got more £ = more reported profit when converted.

All gone to ratshit (complicated, UK co’s diminishing overseas relevance) see what your £ buys you against an € or $ now, against pre Brexit rates.

Any remaining Tory supporting fanboy, claiming sovereignty, trade improvement, or other benefit from their suicidal Brexit overdose, is arguing against their very own goddess of green vomit.
