tory in-fighting will go on for years after the election defeat so no matter inept starmer is they wont win the election after that either.Personally I believe the Tory party are doing this on purpose. They know they’ve ruined the country, they’ve crashed the economy and everybody is down on their knees….. they know there’s no way out now as it’s gone too far so are purposely making themselves unelectable (except to the few bootlickers who still believe in unicorns and sunlit uplands). They instead want labour in power knowing full well that labour will find it extremely difficult to turn things around, then in 5 years everyone will blame labour and the tories won another election… some people are just too stupid for their own good.
I don’t think so. I have never heard a Tory voter say something like ‘they’re too right wing for me now’ If they lose the next election, it will be other failures and not their fascist wolf whistling.Braverman probably lost the Tories about half a million votes today. The problem for the Tories is, they think the way to win is to be more right wing. They’ll hemorrhage votes the more extreme they become. People voted for Johnson in last election because they believed some English rose lined country where unicorns roamed would appear from Brexit. The opposite has happened. Our interest rates and inflation are higher than most other democracy’s who have had the same issues as us.
….Radical Right should be a common descriptive of this Conservative Government. I think the Opposition should make more of this.
Aye, they will make their excuses and pretend to care about issues on a wider context than the village green, but then vite tory for themselves again and again.I don’t think so. I have never heard a Tory voter say something like ‘they’re too right wing for me now’ If they lose the next election, it will be other failures and not their fascist wolf whistling.
They're all pretty much deniers. Don't think I'll be visiting there again.Bit appalled at the natural history museum hosting climate change deniers like the imbecile Douglas Murray. I've gladly given donations when I've visited and this feels like an insult.
As we've seen on these pages, it's usually "they're all as bad" or "at least they're not Labour".I don’t think so. I have never heard a Tory voter say something like ‘they’re too right wing for me now’ If they lose the next election, it will be other failures and not their fascist wolf whistling.
Or they bury themselves in the semantics of a statement rather than the context, shy tory 101 that.As we've seen on these pages, it's usually "they're all as bad" or "at least they're not Labour".
Exactly. Or ‘can you imagine if Corbyn or Abbott got in’ is another favourite of some. It’s a way of alleviating themselves of any association or blame in voting for right wing nut lords. As we've seen on these pages, it's usually "they're all as bad" or "at least they're not Labour".
So an organisation whose purpose is to advance public knowledge and debate about history shouldn't do so because you disagree with the speaker at some event?Bit appalled at the natural history museum hosting climate change deniers like the imbecile Douglas Murray. They are free to do as they please, but as an organisation involved in conservation projects, I personally feel extremely disappointed that they are accepting money to host anti-science propaganda speakers with insincere intentions, that holds zero educational value, in fact quite the opposite. So an organisation whose purpose is to advance public knowledge and debate about history shouldn't do so because you disagree with the speaker at some event?
They're not a political party!
