How does he reel areas like East Yorkshire, Humberside, Teeside etc back in, when they still 100% back Brexit and stopping the boats ?

He`s got two choices, either pander to them for their votes or just write their votes off, which has the potential to push everyday, disaffected folk into the arms of the far right.

It`s a very delicate one.

You stick to your principles and keep the message on track. Push and make people aware of real issues. Have a competent local and national communications team.

Raab has jumped. Is anyone really surprised that this government is seeing such complaints? Grounded in public proclamations of a 'blob' or 'anti-growth coalition' that inhibits their agendas or needs reform, it is not hard to see why the ministers (Priti Patel, Gavin Williamson and now Raab) act out so badly. Of course, this does not detract from the clear character flaws these monsters have.

He has obviously been promised something in the future if he fell on his sword to try and deflect criticism of the PM. He is a snivelling toe rag, his defence seems to be that he was found not guilty on 6 of the 8 counts so he is more innocent than guilty and that, even though a respected KC carried out 5 month enquiry it was the Civil Service who had an agenda to stymie the Tory government, he fails to recognise the record of his party which has loss numerous members because of their behaviour.

As my missus is a Yorkie and my old mate from the Wirral has lived there for a couple of decades, I`ve learnt to like the place.

It takes a while to get used to the bluntness and dourness of the people, but once you get used to them, you realise that they`ve actually got a pretty unique sense of humour ( dour ) and are decent people - stubborn, proud, but very loyal if they like you.

One thing I can`t get my head around though, is how tight they are lol

I lived in Yorkshire for years. Love the place but the people can be an odd bunch.

Wasnt that long ago that only folk born within the 4 Ridings could play cricket for YCCC.

Before the 1970 carve up there were the original 3 Ridings.
North, West and East.
And true you had to be born there to play for them.
