Thanks for the irony. But I cannot make the connection between Brexit and Putin piling into the Ukraine.

I would welcome anyone squaring that particular circle...
There isn’t a connection between those two events. However, both events have separately contributed to the current cost of living situation. Pretty sure most sensible people are in agreement with that.

Post #18,856: '...Love how they never, ever, mention brexit as being responsible for this absolute [Poor language removed] show we find ourself in...'

I replied with the war in Ukraine and spiralling oil prices.

One can also throw in those two gobeens, Truss & Kwarteng, for good measure with their budget...

Didnt mention Putin/Ukraine did it?

Like, Putin helped fund Brexit, by all accounts, and the current situation in the UK does have some Brexit stain on it. Truss even used the Brexit phrase "project fear" to dismiss the concerns her budget would have created.

But freedom, control or sommet.

So the invasion of Ukraine, the spiralling world-wide oil prices. Brexit was directly responsible for those things?

I REALLY do give with some people.

Bye, from this thread on this matter...

Hes not saying that.

I'm agnostic on Brexit, but it has contributed to supply problems and caused inflation. That's the reality.

6 years on, hard to see any benefits.

Ahh that'll be fine, the price at the pumps has been pretty cheap for a while now so 12 more pence can't hurt...

Unbelievable isn't it the party that acclaimed itself as the party of low taxation, squeezes the pips again, so now as well as record food and drink rises, fuel rises, Council tax rises, record inflation, Mortgages rocketing... The Conservatives now give everyone more tax rises and let indirect tax rises and have admitted we are in a recession. Not forgetting doubling our National debt and even more austerity/ cutting even more services. Worst government of all time thanks Pete and co for voting these incompetent policies in for us..

What are you on about? Everyone is suffering from the fallout from Ukraine, but the UK is suffering more than most because Brexit is also causing considerable damage. It's not "that" hard to figure out. You tell us you're a clever fellow.

Let’s be honest, we were all sold a pup on brexit - complete lies, unobtainable benefits and nonsense.

The new budgets another farce as well, they need launching into the sun.

You always do that. Someone argues their point, you disagree, and come back with nothing but flouncing away.

Brexit has not helped with the global pressures that have impacted the whole world. Yes or no?
