"More of ani issue" because small people are easier targets? Business people (who back which party?) evade and avoid paying taxes. Media magnates happy to be based abroad are happy to distract with stories about dole cheats, but they don't run stories about how they avoid paying taxWhile there's a lot of truth in that, the fact is that benefit fraud is more "visible" than tax evasion. Most people either know or know of someone who has fiddled the benefits system, albeit in a small way, while relatively few of us know multi-millionaire tax evaders. That's one reason why benefits fraud is more of an issue than tax evasion.
I think there is some truth in this but people can also allow themselves to look at the bigger picture if they want to. Guy I lived next door to claimed every benefit going and knew the system inside out. If he wants to walk round Tesco with a Zimmer frame and freak out if there’s a car parked outside his house for a few hours, that’s his choice. Couldn’t care less tbh.
