The Brits are not up for it.
They are frightened, frightened of being labelled "a troublemaker" which would affect their careers or job access, frightened of being arrested and being landed with a criminal record, frightened that protesting openly will somehow affect their credit rating without which they could not survive.
Another reason of course is just plain apathy.
Only those with nothing to lose dare "kick off".
