As a life long labour voter, I've increasingly found it difficult to vote for them in recent elections. I've found myself becoming a fan of PR, which would give many younger voters a voice regarding the greener issues that threaten this planet we live on. The two party system just doesn't work for this country anymore.

Totally agree. I would vote Green but its a wasted vote at the moment.

I am not sure he has. He might, but I am not sure. A poster said the same a few days ago, and I asked him to show me an example of a monarch, post civil war, doing it. Still waiting, I think.

I only read it elsewhere to be fair so not certain. It might have been mixed up with dissolving parliament.

My guess is that she will will take over, few enemies, good at the dispatch box, military training, doesn’t flap, good communication skills and knows what she wants to do…she will be fine…….

Pete, if you recall, a lot of people lost trust and faith in Johnson. The circus started with him.

The level of contempt and mistrust in the Conservatives as a party is ridiculously high. You think there'll be no more games, petty agendas or u-turns?

I agree. When they stitched up Boris for their own personal ambitions I gave up with my own MP and vowed never to vote again for him. Boris always supported his ministers, very few changes were made during his tenure, good team management. Unfortunately Sunak, Javid etc saw an opportunity to try for the big job, and basically screwed up the country in doing so ending up with the lightweight known as Truss.

I will shed no tears if they all get turfed out, I’ve said so many times, we need a completely new set of politicians….

Think about your young family Pete. This will be screwing up their futures too. Swallow your pride and admit they need to call a general election.

Surely the public will back them if they’ve done such a great job?

My immediate family are not young. My grandchildren however is a different matter. What with Putin etc I’d like to send them all to New Zealand…….

Well, it's certainly started well. For ages, under Johnson, a lot of people were saying it was 'Johnson's majority'. Now? I would have thought a fresh mandate was in everyone's interest. Sensible?

We need a choice. At this very moment there’s no choice, Labour would win and the country would continue to be a basket case. The Tories need to regroup, provide some form of sensible government and at least provide a choice….

And yet all these people (who all almost certainly also played their part in selling a credulous public on a disastrous Brexit) will continue on offering and shaping opinions with no repercussions.
