Wow, the two minutes of firebreathing that Charles Walker uncorked when speaking to the BBC is absolutely withering. I don't seem to be able to link to it directly (it's in the live feed), but it's one impressive, professional diatribe.
Just seen it now, wasn't Walker the one that called out duncan smith and his fellow tories when they tried to oust his report without his knowledge?

Not sure about that, but he was the one that kept Bercow from getting ousted via a rules change to elect the Speaker via secret ballot. Cameron and the rest of leadership end ran him (he was the chairman of the procedure committee) prior to tabling the measure. He was quoted as saying, "I have been played as a fool and when I go home tonight I will look in the mirror and see an honourable fool looking back at me, and I would much rather be an honourable fool in this, and any other matter, than a clever man.”

Yeah thats the one I was trying to remember, it was an impressive speech at the time. I think Labour mobilised very well for it also and it was a pleasure to see Duncan Smith squirm

Christ what really shocked me was a Conservative MP actually telling it now it is and being honest. Bravo sir.
Not uncommon for politicians to settle scores once they're already on the way out the door. This one seems to have displayed integrity against his own interest on prior occasions, though. Need more of those, rather than fewer.

And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way

For what is a woman, what has she got?
If not herself, then she has naught
To say the things she truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows
I took the blows
And did it my way

Yes, it was my way……

Beautiful that mate
