How does one take responsibility for their vote, exactly? Voting is a private matter. If it's not a private matter, it's open to intimidation. And that's not democratic.

I'm happy to admit who I vote for. I'm happy to have sensible debates with sensible people, and with people who don't agree with me. But, there is no point in debating with extremists.

Mr W, I am unsure that the privacy of the secret ballot should change. I often have not even told my wife for whom I have voted. Nor would I demand that she tell me.

I fully respect anyone who is prepared to discuss, reasonably, and without abuse, their political views. One of my best life long friends is someone that , on the face of it, should have been at my throat. 35 years later we are still great mates

Angry crowds outside any democratic gathering, that seek to intimidate people are abhorrent.

This applies in my view to bullies be they left, right, environmentalists....whatever

I am still really annoyed at some of the rent a mob protests in my days at College in the 80s. I wanted to hear and challenge certain proposed speakers, but these mobs managed to get debates cancelled for security reasons. Freedom of expression????

I wish that people would please respect people's intelligence and freedom of conscience - angry mobs try, and sadly often succeed in preventing this

As we have just saw there are extremists on both sides.. only trouble is your party's extremists are you're Prime Minister and you're Chancellor of the Exchequer....And the ultra right wing whoppers who pull their strings.

It's called protesting against an absolute gobeen who does not have, and never has had, the interests of the country at heart.

Perhaps you want to ban all protesting so your Tory chums can do as they like with impunity? Go urinate up a rope (as the Yanks say!).

No, I don't want to ban protesting. There is only one side of the political spectrum that wants to ban civilised debate. And it's not the right that wants to silence others.

Indeed, Mr. Reese-Mogg, when questioned, and in response to the abuse and intimidation received, responded with a smile on his face... he acknowledged, with his usual charm and good-grace, that it was all part of being a democracy.

As did Sir Kier Starmer to you're supporters horrible abuse because of a false accusation.
Do you not want to comment on that ? Thought not...
