Wanted to throw out the radio from my car this morning whilst listening to 5live. Some pillock was complaining that the government need to say sorry to his gardener as he is now not going to have it landscaped seeing the tax cut was paying for this.
He markedly stressed that he was only marginally over the top rate, so how is 5% more on a few thousand...even 10k going to make that much difference to his spending plan? What a beeeep. Some people.

Thing is it has been the exact same ethos folk have been electing for the last 12 years, tory voters are only turning on them now because their party is getting greedier as the reach their end and it might actually affect them aswell and not just the most vulnerable.

Think his Gardner has dodged a bullet. He sounds the type of guy who’d moan about the quality of the work to get the price knocked down even though it’s done perfectly.
Maybe it would have been better not to make the "obvious mistake" in the first place?

It really is sickeing isn't it. That bulb heads attitude yesterday and the other blert saying people should get better paying jobs to pay for energy companies profiteering have only added to my general fury at the entire situation.
It would be a great statement if some of more activist driven folk applied for assylum in the EU away from the Tory oppression.
As MLK said, it's a particularly cruel joke to tell someone to pull themselves up by the bootstraps when they can't afford boots.
If the very public tory leadership race doesn't tell people who the modern tory part are then they will never realise, or worse they don't care.

Do tax changes need to be voted through. I honestly don't know, but I'd have thought tax increase was policy rather than law.
At least a terrible decision has been overturned. Hopefully it could reverse some of the losses on sterling and reduce the pressure on inflation and the need to increase interest rates too much.
