Its Neil. But either way. He has Osbourne and Balls on now. Both, pretty much agreeing that this is nuts. Ex MPs are way better than actual MPs.
would you believe I checked how to spell his name and still managed to get it wrong. as for the ex mps, theyve coined in their pension, had their time in the sun, no pressure now, just shows they do know right from wrong but career pressure dictates what gets called either way at the time. detestable.

Not so sure about that. A lot of water has passed since he was in high office. And I am commenting on the utterly avoidable crap show that was caused last Friday.
He was largely responsible for the massive public spending cuts and benefit cuts (that have never been brought back to the same levels) and was part of the front bench that decided on the Brexit referendum, leading to Johnson in power and now Truss.
They were the architects of the shitstorm we’re now seeing. They’re just hiding away in well paid corporate jobs now.

Would not disagree mate. I was making the point that both him and Balls gave called out this budget as nuts. On a personal level, Osbournes pension reforms enabled me to retire early to look after Nikki, and whilst not astonishing, the various benefits she and I could claim were not that shabby.

But life is couched in your own life isnt it?

After the cuts came in, I was working with people who were struggling to pay rent, council tax etc. several times heard people blaming this on immigrants or ‘poles’ Whilst the seeds of Brexit were always there they created the perfect growing conditions then wiped their hands of it when it came to pass.
Have more dislike for Cameron and Osborne than for any of this current lot (bar Rees moog maybes)

Got friends and family who were hammered / humiliated and demoralised by the benefits cutbacks under Osborne and Co. They knew who did it though. No blaming the EU there, like.

As much as any financial hardship it was the mindless jumping through hoops and ridiculous interviews / assessments imposed.

Truly a grim time.
