The Chelsea Thread

Can't see Rosenior surviving another 12months..
Seemed a good coach at Hull, and as a player. Now I just don't get him at all, and
I doubt the players do either..
Tbh I like him.

He seems earnest and a bit geeky, two traits I have a fondness for.

But this is a bit ridiculous along with the group huddle at the start of games

I agree that I don’t think he’ll survive the manager furnace that is Chelsea.

I don't dislike the bloke at all, just these strange little traits you see.
From the outside it looks like he's focusing on some kind of Football Psychology in his approach ( if that's even the right term )

I’m late 30’s so Chelsea have always been a top table side in my time watching football

They were mostly a good cup team who normally finished in the top half when I started watching and were becoming a side that looked like they’d be in and around the top 4 even before the money in fairness to them

Abramovich supposedly attended one of their champions league games and that motivated him to buy them

Without his money I doubt they would have won as much as they have, but they would have been a side in the mix I think who might just lack that extra bit to really kick on, which the money allowed them to acquire

In recent years we tend to do well against them at home

Nice to see us keep that going in the Hill Dickie

I’m actually in favour of the project they have

I think they just need a couple of experienced heads in there with the youngsters

That United side from the 1990’s combined the Class of 92 with the likes of Irwin, Cantona, Pallister, Schmeichel etc and that’s why they succeeded

The “kids” wouldn’t have done it on their own and neither would have the veterans

They needed that mix

Chelsea has the young talent but they don’t have the veterans sprinkled in

If they do then I think the project will succeed and they’ll have a good run out of it

Rosenior gives off substitute teacher vibes.
He is just not "one of the lads". He uses long words and relies on his intelligence. He probably (shock horror) reads books.
He frightens folk because he is different so he his quickly ridiculed.
He won't get time to succeed simply because the mob have spoken. I see Warnock is still in work. Depressing.
