The Bottom Line

Box to box player? Do you know what that is?

No chance.

You seriously think Moyes played a 4-4-2 with Cahill/Osman and Fellaini being given the license to get in the box?

Fellaini was in a holding role tonight. No doubt about it.

So he was playing like Lee Carsley?

Do you need glasses mate?

Osman was our deepest midfielder. Fellaini, Cahill and Arteta roamed off him. No way did Fellaini play defensive midfield.

Cahill played on the right/left for most of the game so you can't blame him for limiting Fellaini's peformance.

No, because he's not Lee Carsley.

It really is simple?

Your embarrassing yourself there Cal. So Fellaini/Cahill and Osman... all in a four man midfield with Arteta were all given "box to box" roles?..... by David Moyes? Away?

Of course Fellaini was deployed more defensively. No disputing it

Carsley played in the holding role though.

So he played like Lee Carsley.

No he didnt play like Lee Carsley because thats just what Lee Carsley does.

He was told to sit infront of the defence in Carsley's old position.

Carsley played in the holding role and 'apparently' Fellaini played in it today.

So what was Fellaini meant to have done different to Carsley?

No chance was Osman our deepest midfielder. No chance at all!

Valid point about Cahill, although he was still being given much more license to get forward. Told to drop to the wings but got forward. Fellaini sat.

Your saying he played in the holding role?

So he was told to hold his position like Carsley and play deep.

I didnt see him do that.

Because he isn't a holding midfielder but he certainly was told to play that role tonight.

Think about the formation and it'll click....

15 million down the drain, arent you arsed?

I'm past noticing your posts like, because you cannot cope with the negativity.

There's negativity and then there's you.

If you could see the whole picture, accept the fact that Fellaini is still young, still learning, highly rated, playing in a foreign league etc etc which will affect his performances so far you wouldn't be so bad.

But you just scream about how much he cost and call him a shitehouse yarddog.

Thats it. End of argument. Unwilling to consider any possible factors for that.

Nothing, he played him in the same postion. Two different players, obviously Carsley is a DM and Fellaini isn't and you can tell.

No you cannot handle any realism. It's all about positivity with you.
