The bomb shelter thread.

Same with my sister in law who lives in LA.

She imports boxes of British stuff - Yorkshire Tea, HP Sauce, Digestives, crisps, all kinds of stuff that the Yanks just do really badly for some reason.

She also swears that even in a city the size of LA, you can’t get a proper curry too.
Your sister in law isn’t the porn star Tanya Tate by any chance is she ?
She says the same in her scouse accent on her social media platforms… apparently like..

Same here and although a huge Asian population rare you can find Chinese ribs like you find in UK or duck and pancakes or prawn crackers

Can remember a few years ago there was a pop up shop in my local shopping centre selling American chips and chocolates etc, i bought a few things to sample and every single one of them ended up in the bin after 1 bite. That hersheys chocolate in particular was utter filth.

Malaysia is boss though.
Langkawi is / was one of the best places I’ve ever been to. Perfect.
Loved the chicken satay from the street markets in China town in KL myself.
Went to the perentian (sp?)islands in the NE. Was incredible. Cameron highlands also. Remember randomly getting steaming in a town called Mersing and forgetting to close a window and waking up looking like a stegosaurus from mosquito Bites. Was ace.

I remember being in a boozer that was like an actual Pirate ship in KL.

Just got into a taxi to take us to the Towers, to say I’ve been there and got stuck right into the ale etc.

FFS.

The best thing about appointing Rafael is seeing @Eggs feisty side

….ha, ha. Whilst it doesn’t help that I’ve got a sore eye and for the last 11 days have had to lie on my right side for 50 out of every 60 minutes, i find @4737carlin Benitez posts particularly banal.

I apologise unreservedly for venting my frustration. Whilst it’s fine to disagree, it’s never right to be disagreeable.

Hope you feel better soon pal

When stayed with friends in Queens (NYC), they said they would take us to 'Chinatown' in Manhattan for an 'amazing' Chinese.

Honestly, the stuff you go from the Ma Bo at 3am was better than there stuff. For all the talk about American food, I've always seen it as size over quality.
