Probably my worst memory as a Blue full stop was the 1986 FA Cup final. We'd been the better side in the first half and totally battered them for the first 12 minutes of the second half until THAT pass from Gary Stevens changed the game completely.
The 1989 cup final defeat was bad enough too, but I reckon we were always fated to lose that day. The McAllister derby still gets on my nerves as it was never a free kick and taken about 10 yards away from where the incident took place and we lost our proud 11 year unbeaten home derby record.
2012 semi final is another bad memory. A very average Liverpool side who were there for the taking, and like 1986, a bad pass changed proceedings.
Moyes negative second half tactics also had a lot to answer for.
Better memories are the Ratcliffe/Lineker derby were that win should have propelled us to the title. Ratcliffe's goal is surely the funniest in derby history, and right in front of the gobs***es on the Kop too.
Wayne Clarke's goal in 88 which stopped them breaking Leeds unbeaten run from the start of a season is one which won't be forgotten. They'd been coasting to the title and I'd been getting loads in school off the reds and for once couldn't wait to get into school on the Monday morning to give them a bit back.
Beardsley's late winner in 92 is fondly remembered and who could forget Duncan opening his account a few years later.
Goslings 119th minute goal to knock them out the cup is defo the one I remember the most in an era were our record against them has been extremely poor, despite them hardly being vintage Liverpool sides.
