The old UEFA Cup was a trophy worth winning - probably tougher to win than the EC in the 70s and 80s.

This competition is Mickey Mouse.

Would I take it for Everton? Yes.

This again. There were something like 9 games to go after that game v Sheff U. And that technology failure was also on the first half, not at the end of the game where a side doesn’t have time to react to a goal.

Also what is forgotten was Villa having an injury time equaliser ruled out at Palace with virtually the last kick of the game, and which the refs group (whoever it was then) admitting it was an error. So we had a point taken from us then.

So the narrative persists about the ghost goal saving us when it did nothing of the sort.
