People also forget that the goal line technology failure basically saved villa from getting relegated

They could be where Leicester city and Luton are now if that hadn’t occurred
The goal line technology 'failed' with about 8 or 9 games to go - also, within 10mins Villa had gone up the other end and had an absolute stonewall pen refused cos the ref knew he'd ballsed up earlier. Villa then had to get points from nearly all their last games and eventually did so, including beating Arsenal. But don't let a fairytale get in the way of reality....

I particularly like the bit which says

“without that point, Villa would have been relegated on goal difference - and Bournemouth would have survived by a single goal.”
 
It annoys me that they are where they are. We are just as big a club and they were rubbish before Emery joined. Just shows though that if you have the cojones to try and appoint a manager of his quality then you can and will and that appointment will see you in Europe and CL consistently with a cup win.
