It’s ok for batsmen to play shots and occasionally get out trying to get runs on the board.

I think our batsmen are better but sadly their attack is miles better than ours.

Yes but that's not acceptable, they should shoulder arms and block the first couple of hours when the Kookaburra goes for the most runs and edge and nick their way slowly to 210 all out at Tea before Australia get 150 for none by end of day. The classic Ashes way.

Konstas - less said about him the better, nowhere near at this level
Marnus - got some big scores in shield cricket, hopefully back in form but jury's out
Green - think its his time, expecting a big summer
Smudge - age catching up hopefully still got 1 good summer left in him
Head - interesting one, very susceptible to the moving ball and a bit worried his good run of form.has come to an end

Do you rate him with a bat? He's got a bloody pip shaped like a huge watermelon!
He's alright, looks comfortable at the crease. Whether he's at that level just below a test regular and is in and out of the side remains to be seen but so far so good.
If wood and archer stay fit the whole summer this will be a cracking series.
