i'd say both teams are rubbish, or at least have huge weaknesses, home advantage and momentum are big factors, and adelaide under lights represents are best chance of reversing the momentum, anyone with a small understanding of the game can see that, choosing to bowl and put yourself under pressure?? It's as crazy as punters decision on 05, and england won't recover from it, that's the tone set now, this will be the deciding factor in us getting stuffed, not only factor
Agreed. Both average teams. Home conditions appear to be deciding it.

I get why the rule is that way, but it seems so absurd to have what looks a completely plum LB not given because it's pitching 1cm outside leg.
Why is the rule that way?, I don't understand it, why does where it's pitching matter? if it's hitting then it's hitting.

Too little too late this. Aus will get a partnership going. I think they have enough already the way England have been with the bat. Mitchell Johnson really did a number on the psyche of English cricket 4 years ago because they are petrified of anything short.

I sort of agree, but most people think it'd result in negative cricket. If we're talking right handed batsmen this is. Bowlers would just deliver from miles around the wicket constantly, and as those balls are harder to hit the batsmen would play defensive shots.

That becomes the tradeoff/dilemma for the fielding team. Over the wicket gives you a much better chance of LBW. Around the wicket deliveries are harder to score off.
