My wife, who is Hispanic, is blissfully unaware of what happened today in El Paso. I am dreading having to share with her that another white kid decided people of color needed to die to protect his privilege.
Awe come on. They are shooting innocent people (Sandy Hook had mostly children killed). Let all the gun-nuts volunteer to assemble in a stadium and shoot it out. I'm fine with that. [edit: BTW, I know you were being tongue-in-cheek]

Yeah, Im so [Poor language removed] over these shootings but 99% of the people affected have nothing to do with the assholes who decide to do them. I honestly wish I could hear their logic when they decide THIS is the correct way to go. FFS they STILL have literally no idea why the Vegas prick decided to shoot up a concert.

Will never ever understand why any sane, sensible person would want to own a gun or be happy to see them readily available to buy. Guns kill, they have no other use.

We’ll ignore the fact that the guy was ARRESTED by POLICE, not taken down in a hail of bullets by some Rambo-esque member of the public with a concealed carry permit shall we?
I’m pretty sure there was a statistic (at least until recently, may now have changed) that no mass shooter had ever been stopped by an armed member of the public. Even if it’s now happened, it’s a vanishingly small number of cases
