His tipping point is (rightfully imo) that anything of substance that David says is outweighed by the sheer amount of crazy nonsense he spouts and anything else he says he should therefore be disregarded.
As for Tate here, for most sane minded people with any sort of moral compass, anything he says that may be correct, is overshadowed by his actions and words.
