Ok I see what you mean. I didn't even know this was a controversial thing to say. The word "females" gets used loosely a lot and I know doctors/pharmacists that use the terms "females" very often to explain things medically.
Most of my friends use "females" and "women" interchangeably just as somebody may use "men and "males" the same way. In fact whenever some needs the restroom, they use "female bathroom" rather than "women bathroom". Just an interesting thought.
