Current Affairs The Andrew Tate thread

I don't take him seriously at all. He is absolutely someone who's form of currency is attention. He's managed to utilise controversy as a form of self promotion to an incredible extent.

The only thing I'll say though is it's quite common for certain people to say over the top things about men, but then they are up in arms about someone like Tate doing the same to them. Labelling all men as evil and standing firm that it's your right to do so is always going to have a reaction down the line.

I'm not defensive over the subject at all, you're the one that's getting triggered everytime I post a video of him on this thread and then you proceed to complain about how your "donation" towards this place goes towards funding this thread.

I don't adore him, I just think he is a breath of fresh air and he is very articulate as a person so he is entertaining to watch and listen to. I don't even agree with many of his points. In fact, Andrew Tate is actually pro-choice so there's that. There is a good reason why he was able to attract the attention of the masses and has celebrities following him. You don't pull this sort of attention by luck.
I didn't say this thread.

It irritates me (it may not bother others) that as a forum supporter it gives you the opportunity to come online and post nonsensical threads every month or so. I realise each individual supporter is hardly a dent compared to ad revenue, it grates. I know it shouldn't bother me, as you say, it's voluntary. It bothers me. You bother me.

I have yet to read anything interesting or enlightening from any of your posts, in any thread, yours or otherwise.

I'd guess you only come here because you lack love and attention in the real world.

As for Tate, there's nothing original about him. He's a 'shock jock' for millenials.

His 'star' will fade as quickly as its grown as soon as someone else with outlandish views comes along.

Ps. Congratulations. You got my first ever finger reaction.

Idi Amin had a tremendous singing voice.

Idi Amin had a tremendous singing voice.
Few years ago I was sat next to two Bristolians arguing in a pub, although I didn't know who they were arguing about.

Then one of the fellas turns to me and says 'ere mate, you like that Pol Pot?'
I says....'erm... no'
He says 'why don't you like that Pol Pot???'
I says... 'well.... cos he was a mass murdering psychopath'
He says 'Pol Pot????'
I says 'yeah'
He says, 'Pol Pot never killed anyone!!!'
Now I'm doubting meself a bit....
I says 'well maybe he didn't actually pull the trigger, but he oversaw the deaths of like tens of thousands of his own people'
He says 'Pol Pot????'

Then someone else at the bar says to me 'I think he's talking about Paul Potts'
I says 'Ah... who the fk is Paul Potts?'
He says, 'he's a singer on that X Factor I think'

Then the fella goes 'who was you talking about'
I says 'I'm talking about Pol Pot'
He says 'who the fk is Pol Pot???'
I says 'he was a Cambodian dictator'
He says 'ah right.... nah different fella'

Same planet, different worlds. Kind of a beautiful moment really.

Off topic but NEA.

I'm quite the opposite actually. I'm delighted my forum subs go to maintaining a place where the likes of Tate and David Icke can be compared and contrasted. With a side dab of Everton if I so wish.

I'm not getting that from Toffeeweb or Reddit. Long live the madness!

interesting fact about Idi Amin. he wrote `theres no one quite like Grandma` which was a hit song for St Winifreds School Choir in 1980. Amin had got some bad press prior to that and was looking to turn things around by writing some pop music

I'm delighted this got typed out in an emir thread

Give over, its what he closed the show with every night when he went on tour... think Jerry Lee Lewis and 'great balls of fire' but without the fondness for his cousin.
i`m not saying he didn`t close the show with that. i meant the publishing rights, after Pol Pot was stitched up on the writing credits, Chas over did the `cheeky cockney` angle and did his head in, so P.P. went back to Cambodia and formed the Khymer Rouge with Dave.

I noticed this Andrew Tate come up on my Twitter feed yesterday for the first time. I've looked back on this thread to find out more about him and noticed you said he was extremely popular. I'd never heard of him until yesterday so i'm another one in here who can't share your view he is the most popular person on the planet at this moment in time and "everyone" online knows who he is. I spend a lot of time each day using the internet and a fair bit on social media etc and have never heard of him.

As for the bit in bold, i've now watched a few videos and it actually struck me how inarticulate he is! I've seen a few of his type before and they seem to have a lot more charisma and intelligence than Tate, but have a similarity in spouting utter nonsense and being lauded for it.

I can imagine he actually believes a lot of it too, but he is not to be taken seriously and his views are mostly abhorrent. If you want to buy in to his "popularity" then that's up to you but I reckon if you asked 100 people in the street who he was, barely any would know who he was except for in places like the USA and Canada, and even then it'd probably only be those of a certain age group.
