"we introduced a raft of new players - you lose the core of players who were important, and that's obviously a factor and then it becomes a bit broken"

Ha Ha. "We".

No you did, no mark.

When he said "you lose the core player who were important" what he meant was "I've lost Suarez and we're a bit [Poor language removed] without him".

Come on Bobby, teach this tit a footballing tactical lesson.

I'm in the group hoping for a win but expecting a loss(I expect most of us fall in this category). We have all been through these pre-derby discussion many times before, some of us touting the strength of our squad relative to theirs. After 18 years of these matches and very little going our way, I just can't bring myself to big us up again and feed the hope machine. I'm still going to get up and watch it, I'm still going to scream for us to challenge every ball, and I'm still going to pray that we win. That said, I can't rationally expect us to win at Anfield and I won't. This is purely a defence mechanism and I'm not ashamed to say it. I hate us losing to them but I can take that as long as it is not the same standard of performance as the Anfield derby last year. I hope we win, but I expect nothing anymore.

Match tactics

- Distin osman to cut oranges for ht
- dunc to make pre match speech
- put someone on gerrard (ala Villa game)
- defend deep
- pressure their back 4, there tosh (I know Wat ur thinking)
- wind up ballotelli

Ballo sent off, Win by set piece ,celebrate with Sturridge dance in front of brenda. Get schteemed

Suicide that mate.

They will kill us if we give them all that space and respect... Press the ball and give them no time to think.

That's what Spurs did and they're better at it than us and got slaughtered.

There's a part of me that would love to see us dominate and win but frankly I just want to win.

All of our fans are wondering how humiliated are we going to get
Can we blame us? No we go to anfield and think we will play here and then just get kicked in the nuts every time! We will do nothing as usual and let Liverpool wee on us.

I'd rather face these on the crest of a slump than the crest of a wave. Our players cannot handle expectation.

The Anfield Derby record is one that bears down heavily on their players as well as ours. They need to maintain it, we need to break it.

It's a great opportunity for our players to catapult themselves away from the gloom of the start of the season. A win at Anfield will pretty much wipe the slate clean, so there's a massive incentive. We have players who can and have scored against them in the recent past; many of their players are Derby debutatants. That has to weigh in our favour.

As said, if Coleman starts I see no worse than a draw here for us.
Man alive you are bullish this year! Which is very inspiring. Didn't you insist they were going to dry bum us last year against the general mood on here? (which, of course, turned out to be exactly right) Or was that some other "prophet of doom." Just can't see it myself. We don't have a leader on that team who just won't accept defeat.

It was some other prophet of doom.

We work ourselves up thinking we have a chance and then get a hiding! I think 99.9 % of our fans our thinking Cricket score to Liverpool!
Fully expecting us to be on the end of a good fashioned passionate ass-whooping, lid. Bad that.
