I'd through a curve ball and play 3 at the back and deploy stones as a sweeper, the rs are all about pace and running off the ball, our midfield are incapable of picking these runners up recently and leaving 2 centre backs exposed to raw pace is whats worrying.

have Mccarthy and barry sitting, and pressuring play as soon as the ball comes into our half. Naismith just in front of them using his work rate to sit on Gerrard and stoping the him from switching play

lukaku and kev up top, using their pace to exploit the holes in their defence with support from baines and hopefully coleman; set up to hit them fast and hard on the counter

Team that will win it for us at the weekend.
If Coleman is injured, I would 100% give Oviedo a chance at RB. A much better option than Stones and Hibbo in that position if you ask me.

Howard
Coleman/Oviedo Stones Jagielka Baines
McCarthy Barry
Mirallas Naismith Pienaar
Lukaku

Subs: Eto'o, McGeady and Gibson to come on.

Can see Sterling ripping Jagielka a new arse hole here to be honest.

Jagielka should go right through Sterling at the first opportunity (obviously outside the box and not bad enough to be sent off). Shoot down any confidence he has and show him who's bossing this game.

I would play the most defensive team we possibly could and pray to god we come out 0-0

Or the complete opposite and just accept we are going to concede shedloads of goal and aim for a 5-5 draw

That, not sure Oviedo at RB though

Partner Stones with Jagielka again, with Coleman hopefully coming back and I reckon that's our strongest back 4 at the moment with Baines obviously. I also reckon Mirallas could well torment them, so at least if we do crumble and concede 5 then Mirallas might add some respectability to the scoreline.

I appreciate I'm kidding myself and come Saturday will be crying uncontrollably and getting arrested for GBH when the mrs says it's only a game.

If Coleman plays I think we'll win this one.

There's two players we can ill afford to have out of the team - Barkley and Coleman. They are our dynamos: the players capable of swinging defence into attack that wins these types of games. We cant have both out and expect to win any game, let alone a Derby.

Spurs away aside, Liverpool look as hopeless as Everton this season - as the table underlines.

They are vulnerable at home. With a fit back line we can win this with players like Lukaku and Eto'o who can get a goal on the big occasion. Mirallas always puts it in against Liverpool, and Naismith has netted against them and has no fear of a M'side Derby after the OF encounters he's been in.

If Coleman plays I think we win this by the odd goal in three. This Liverpool team is a shadow of last season's, and, apart from all the usual fearful Derby emotions, we all know it.

One of my best red mates is convinced we're gonna win 1 - 3. I completely agree, if we finally have managed to stop gifting the other team goals, we'll win comfortably and go on to finish fourth.

The main thing is that the RS have completely exhausted all the possible combinations of painful ways to beat us, so I'm simply immune to what pain lies in wait for us.

Embarrassing first half capitulations. - Check
Embarrassing second half capitulations - Check
Last minute winners. - Check
Losing after taking the lead. - Check
Losing because of terrible penalty decisions. - Check
Losing because of terrible red card decisions. - Check
Losing because of both of the above. - Check
Being hammered badly at home. - check
Being beaten by them at Wembley. - Check
Former player scoring against us - check

Nothing can hurt me now.

i dont think as good as they were last season, and the fans can see how much suarez did for them, they cant replace that... i can them playing balotelli and him getting a red, cause he has no idea whats hes getting into with this game
