It's an easy answer - I didn't answer because I felt it was largely irrelevant to the wider point, but here you go - you rejoin the Paris Accords. Case closed. Biden does it day one and nobody bats an eyelid. It's a matter that has near enough universal international agreement and only genuine fruit loops like climate change deniers have a problem with it.

You seem to equate me saying do "something" with me somehow saying do "nothing". I'm not saying do "nothing"; I'm simply saying "don't do everything".

Sorry, just to add in response to the bold - I've said "why" repeatedly. It's because if you go to hard in the opposite direction too fast, then you foster the resentment and confirm existant suspicion in the 'base' that is open to being taken advantage of by the Trumps of this world.

Incremental change is the better option because you change the societal position gently instead of suddenly, and thus receive less backlash and prevent less chance of creating extremist hotbeds.
