Just for the broader Republican voter. If there's a chance to gain good kudos from a simple stunt. As to say look trump has lead you down this garden path and it's not right. We pardon you."Nah lad, I know you and your ilk breaking in to the Capital building and destroying property and putting both chambers of the legislative was all a prank. Good one bro. I'll let it slide!"
I don't get why people think there are any olive trees left. These people could be drowning see a man in a BLM shirt holding a branch out and would rather die than take it.
Mods please delete if not allowed but the picture below shows the sckening moment when a proud bald eagle gets maced. It can clearly be seen wincing.

The contrast of how the police dealt with peaceful BLM protest this summer it is very different on how they acted yesterday against these rioters. These people need to be charged otherwise we are giving a free pass for this type of insurrections to happen again in future elections.
Great segment by NPR. Worth hearing it.
The difference being that one group was mounting an at times armed attack on the seat of American government, the other..... wasn’t.You’re probably right in general Sass, but I was watching CNN last night when Cuomo (who I generally find obnoxious), was asking one of the CNN field reporters who was on the ground yesterday and during BLM to confirm exactly that, and she basically said the police response was similar and that she saw tear gassed and bloodied rioters yesterday in the same fashion as elsewhere. The main difference she said she saw was that the people yesterday couldn’t believe the cops would do that to them. I’ll have to listen to your NPR link when I have some free time later today.
For me right now the unbelievable thing was how unprepared police were for something entirely predictable.
Sure. So if you’re saying an equivalent response wasn’t enough, then I agree. Should’ve been immediate military response yesterday. A proportionate response to such disproportionate action still isn’t ok.The difference being that one group was mounting an at times armed attack on the seat of American government, the other..... wasn’t.

I was just pointing out that the idea of “contrast” may not have been as big as folks are currently thinking, based on what the CNN reporter shared.
Ha! Legitimately thought it was Goose Gossage (famous baseball player from the 70s) first time I saw that pic
Don’t think there will be enough for the 25th amendment
Probably true. That is a different point though. Speculating on what would’ve likely happened had it been a different group, and comparing two things that did actually happen is a different conversation altogether. I’m not saying you’re wrong about that.Yeah I get what you’re saying, but I think the contrast is huge.
If BLM protestors had staged an armed incursion into the Capitol there would have been scores of them dead.
They also wouldn’t have been able to stroll out afterwards, and the police wouldn’t have been taking selfies with them
