It seemed there was a biased logic from the chap making this claim last night. If you are looking at democracy as the right of all to vote and enjoy equality then for someone to ignore the recognition of The Snyder Act of 1924 is not acceptable - though even this did not bring true democracy for native Americans.

Would love to give the original version of democracy a go, where members of the public are assigned roles (like getting jury duty). Would make things interesting.

look the US institutions were strong enough to see off this insurrection and sedition but where the failure is that the instigators will get away with this.
What really needs to happen is Trump removed from office and arrested along with Rudolf Guliani and the other instigators and tried for insurrection and sedition and inciting violence.
this probably won’t happen due to partisan reasons and that’s the saddest part of all. No one should be above the law but it seems that some are which is a complete contradiction to the constitution.
