Judging from the discourse in the Senate over the past half hour, I’m getting a strange feeling Ted Cruz is about to find himself on an extremely lonely island when it comes time to vote.

I'm going to guess at about 4-5 total who will object still. Hawley and Cruz nailed on.

Uhhh.. almost every one of the protests for Floyd and BLM were enforced.. harshly. Friend of mine was at one in Richmond when some one next to him was shot with a rubber bullets 5 minutes before curfew.

It's beyond apparent the differences between two responses.

Guess it depends on location then. I was in Denver and people were out well past in similar situations. All peaceful but if I recall curfew was at 9 for us and folks were out past midnight, Same happened in Omaha from what I was told, though I wasn’t there. So I would challenge that they were enforced harshly in “almost every” case.

And honestly in any case if allowing them to fizzle is the best way to avoid more violence, then I think it’s the right call.
