I've heard some saying that here but not out loud!
He'd probably win anyway without this latest development.

because if you mean “a handful of idiots on social media”, the OBVIOUSLY some people will do that (though I don’t see why left leaning idiots seem to be given so much less leeway for their behaviour than right leaning ones before we assume a political backlash).

If you mean a significant number of members of the Democratic establishment, then no, that won’t happen.

Exactly. I’m now completely convinced that the constant political division, retreat to extreme positions and backlashes we seem to constantly talk about are due to us jumping straight to social media to find someone with an opinion and treating that opinion as reflective of a ‘side’ of the debate, or is a widely held position.

Twitter‘s shocking for it. Someone could post a picture of a nice sunset with a blandly positive comment, and someone else would react “what about those of us who hate sunsets!!!?? #sunsetelite”

I just had to test this, and sure enough.

I think that no matter what the democrats or luvvies criticise him for or accuse him of, no matter how legitimate, there will be a healthy chunk of right wing luvvies on standby saying that they're playing right into his hands. It's practically Abelard's entire daily routine on here. I don't actually wish death on the guy, I think it would be bad for the US, but the irony of him dying from Covid would be rich and I wouldn't mourn his loss.

If Iran does anything, even killing one American, or one of its proxies does anything, I personally would wipe Tehran off the map, then sort out all of its development bases, everything, and it’s defence organisations.

Sorry for linking you all up to the view but Bernies answers were so good I had to share, I'm not informed enough to know if Bernie would have a better chance of beatimg trump than Biden but it would have been great to see him on that debate stage vollying trump all over the show
