is the mention of the VP with Pelosi, McConnell and Schumer only because he has an official role in Congress, or because he is at the top of the federal government now?

No idea but does seem odd POTUS not mentioned.

The part about the oath to constitution is meant as assurance I think..ie loyalty to constitution/law not Trump so won't act on unlawful orders.

One thing I wont abide is a state clamping down in any protest. Even one I disagree with.

The one on Capitol hill. Please don't slap the tag they put on BLM calling them tugs and not a real protest. I disagree with what they stand for but won't lower myself to what the right tried to do on BLM.

Ummm, I believe a protest stops being a protest when you unlawfully enter a federal building. Certain portions of our constitution protect the right to assembly (often called "peaceful protest".) Then you have separate laws restricting any acts of treason, sedition, etc. They cannot be viewed separately except when laws violate the constitution.

Well the flip side of people storming the building for Trump would be... not doing that.

The extreme right are traditionally a lot more violent than the extreme left, so for you, the flip side would just be a massive peaceful protest I'd guess.

So that's what I mean when I say you're the opposite of these people; as in you wouldn't be caught dead rioting the Capitol in favour of Trump.

The grown up way, of course, is to just do a small bit of violent protest and reject small bits of democracy
